Lexus: By the Numbers (2025)
35 Years of luxury automotive leadership | 882,231 units sold globally in 2025 (all-time record, +4% vs 2024) | 52% electrified vehicle share globally | 2M+ electrified vehicles on the road globally | 60,000 hours of Takumi master craftsmanship training
From the moment the first Lexus LS 400 whispered onto the global stage in 1989, Lexus has been more than an automotive manufacturer; it has been a pioneer of an elevated lifestyle. Today, as Lexus celebrates 35 remarkable years, the brand marks this milestone with back-to-back all-time global sales records — 851,214 units in 2024, surpassed by an even greater 882,231 units in 2025, the highest in the brand’s history.
In Kuwait, Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L proudly amplifies this global momentum through Lexus Volt Power — a bold and forward-thinking platform that brings the full spectrum of Lexus innovation to Kuwaiti customers, from hybrid electric and fully electric to the finest internal combustion excellence.
Evolving from a single flagship sedan into a global powerhouse, Lexus continues to redefine the “pinnacle of luxury,” blending unmatched Japanese craftsmanship with the most ambitious and far-reaching electrification roadmap in the luxury automotive industry.
Lexus Volt Power: Kuwait’s Gateway to the Electric Future
Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L has long been Kuwait’s trusted custodian of the Lexus brand — and today, that custodianship takes on new meaning. With the introduction of Lexus Volt Power, ALSAYER has created a uniquely Kuwaiti platform that maps the full evolution of Lexus technology — from the refined power of internal combustion, through the intelligent efficiency of hybrid electric, to the seamless silence of a fully electric drive. Volt Power is not merely a product offering; it is a strategic brand architecture to guide customers on their personal journey toward electrification, at their own pace, with the full confidence that Lexus stands beside them at every stage.
At the forefront of this platform stands the Lexus RZ — the brand’s first dedicated all-electric SUV, and now officially available in Kuwait. The RZ is proof that the electric future is not a distant promise; it is here, on Kuwaiti roads, waiting to be experienced. Designed on a purpose-built BEV architecture with Lexus’ signature DIRECT4 intelligent all-wheel-drive system, the RZ delivers instantaneous torque, a whisper-quiet cabin, and a driving character that is unmistakably, entirely Lexus.
“We invite every customer to step beyond the showroom and into the driver’s seat — because the most compelling argument for the electric future is not a specification sheet; it is the feeling of driving the RZ for the very first time” said Mahmoud Abou Zahr, Senior Business Director at Lexus Kuwait.
Through Lexus Volt Power, ALSAYER is ensuring that the transition to electrification in Kuwait is not defined by compromise, but by aspiration — anchored in the same values of precision, craftsmanship, and human-centred luxury that Lexus has championed for 35 years, and now reimagined for the next era.
A Legacy Rooted in Omotenashi
At the heart of every Lexus lies the philosophy of Omotenashi—the traditional Japanese art of hospitality. It is a commitment to anticipating a guest’s needs before they arise, ensuring that every touchpoint, from the showroom to the driver’s seat, feels deeply personal.
This spirit is brought to life by the Takumi Masters, artisans who undergo 60,000 hours of training to perfect their craft. Their “unmatchable attention to detail” is visible in the hand-pleated door panels of the LS flagship and the intricate Sashiko stitching of the SUV lineup, ensuring that every Lexus is not just a machine, but a work of art.
From a Single Icon to a Dominant Global Lineup
The Lexus journey began by challenging the status quo in 1989. Since then, the brand has achieved unprecedented global success, culminating in an all-time record of 851,214 units sold globally in 2024 — a 3.3% increase over the prior year and the highest result in the brand’s 35-year history. Electrified models (BEV, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid) reached a record 52% of total Lexus sales for the first time ever, while Europe delivered a remarkable 20% growth to 88,184 vehicles — the brand’s largest-ever premium market share in the region. The evolution of the lineup reflects a brand that never stands still:
The Next 5 Years: A New Era of Innovation
Lexus has been a pioneer of luxury electrification for two decades — since launching the world’s first premium hybrid SUV, the RX 400h, in 2005. Today, over 2 million Lexus electrified vehicles are on the road globally, having contributed to a reduction of approximately 19 million tons of CO₂ emissions. Now, Lexus is embarking on its most ambitious transformation yet, targeting a 100% Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) lineup in Europe, North America, and China by 2035, with a comprehensive multi-pathway strategy ensuring every customer is served. The roadmap to 2030 begins with the landmark 2026 launch of a next-generation BEV inspired by the LF-ZC concept, featuring a revolutionary modular “Giga-casting” structure and the highly customizable Arene OS software platform. Lexus plans to introduce breakthrough solid-state battery technology by 2027–2028, targeting a cruising range of over 1,000 km and ultra-fast recharging. This bold evolution is anchored by the debut of the Lexus LFA Concept — an all-electric spiritual successor to the iconic LFA supercar, unveiled in 2025 and designed to redefine performance luxury through DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive technology and potentially the brand’s own solid-state battery innovation.
Mahmoud Abou Zahr, Senior Business Director at Lexus ALSAYER added:
“Lexus has always been about more than just moving people; it’s about moving their hearts, as we look toward an electric future, we do so without compromising the human-centric values that have defined us since 1989. Innovation at Lexus is driven by the desire to provide the ultimate experience of luxury, powered by the spirit of Omotenashi.”
