ALSAYER Group Advances EV Expertise with Refresher Training on Charging Systems and Safety

In continuation of ALSAYER Group’s continuous training efforts in the field of electric vehicles (EV), the Group has recently launched a series of refresher sessions focused on EV chargers, successfully conducted on April 9 and April 13, 2026. ALSAYER Group continues to invest in knowledge-building initiatives that equip employees and stakeholders with the expertise needed to support the transition toward sustainable mobility. The refresher training program offered a comprehensive overview of EV charging systems, including the utilization of the ALSAYER EV Chargers Map to demonstrate the distribution of charging infrastructure across key locations.

The sessions covered several essential modules, beginning with global standards and equipment, where participants explored different connector types and charger levels, ranging from residential units to advanced public charging stations. The program also addressed operational mechanics, providing technical insights into socket versus tethered chargers, as well as practical approaches to managing household electricity demand through current control.

In addition, the training highlighted charging efficiency, focusing on the differences between AC and DC charging. It emphasized that maintaining battery levels within the 20%–80% range represents the “fast lane” during DC charging, where energy transfer is most efficient before the charging speed tapers off to protect battery health. Safety and connectivity were also key components, with discussions on network communication protocols (OCPP) and environmental protection ratings (IP/IK) suited for extreme conditions.

Furthermore, the program incorporated critical sessions on emergency response protocols for EV incidents, as well as specialized guidelines for the proper storage and handling of high-voltage batteries to ensure maximum safety across all operations. Essential safety measures including routine inspections and the use of emergency safety plugs were also demonstrated.

Eng. Nehad Al Haj Ali, Group Manager of the Corporate Excellence Department, stated: “At ALSAYER Group, we believe that innovation must go hand in hand with safety, sustainability, and knowledge. These training sessions go beyond technical understanding, aiming to prepare our teams and communities to adopt cleaner, smarter, and more responsible transportation solutions.”

By integrating infrastructure awareness, technical standards, efficiency practices, and safety protocols, ALSAYER Group continues to strengthen its proactive role in advancing electric mobility. The Group remains dedicated to fostering innovation and operational excellence, ensuring that each initiative contributes to building a more sustainable and forward-looking society.
