ALSAYER Group Celebrates Winners of the Horizon Educational Regional Race

ALSAYER Group proudly celebrates the winners of the Horizon Educational Regional Race, held at Kuwait University on June 1, 2026. Through its strategic sponsorship of Horizon Educational, ALSAYER Group has supported the development of students’ technical capabilities in clean energy, hydrogen fuel cell technologies, engineering design, and teamwork, reaffirming its commitment to empowering Kuwait’s youth and fostering a culture of innovation.

Since the launch of the initiative in November 2025, participating students have embarked on an inspiring educational journey, beginning with learning the fundamentals of hydrogen-powered RC vehicle kits before advancing to the design, engineering, and development of fully functional hydrogen fuel cell cars. Their efforts culminated in a series of competitive races, leading to the regional tournament and showcasing not only technical expertise but also creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Mubarak Al-Sayer, CEO of ALSAYER Group, emphasized that the sponsorship represents far more than support for a competition. He noted that through collaboration with Kuwait University’s College of Science, the Public Authority for Youth, the Ministry of Education, and Horizon Educational, ALSAYER Group is helping shape the next generation of engineers, innovators, and future leaders in Kuwait.

The initiative also reflects ALSAYER Group’s broader sustainability vision. Mr. Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer, Executive Board Member and Chairman of the ALSAYER Sustainability Committee, emphasized that sustainability extends far beyond environmental responsibility; it also encompasses investing in future generations and empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to drive positive change. Furthermore,  Mr. Mahmoud Mohamad Abou-Zahr, Senior Business Director of the Lexus Division, expressed pride in supporting an initiative that aligns with Lexus’ commitment to innovation and excellence. He emphasized that encouraging students to engage with clean energy technologies not only advances sustainable mobility but also contributes to the future of education and technological development in Kuwait.

The event concluded with an exciting race competition, inspiring remarks from project partners, and a celebratory award ceremony recognizing the achievements of participating students. These moments reflected the strong collaboration among all stakeholders and their shared vision of advancing education, innovation, and sustainability in Kuwait.
