ALSAYER Group Promotes Sustainability Awareness Through Renewable Energy Learning Experience for Students

As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and environmental education, ALSAYER Group partnered with The Scientific Center to deliver an engaging learning experience focused on renewable energy for students aged 12 to 15. The initiative was designed to inspire young learners and deepen their understanding of sustainability through a combination of educational discussions and practical activities.

The program began with an interactive introduction to some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges, including climate change and sustainable development. Students were introduced to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Kuwait’s ambitions toward a more sustainable future. Through these discussions, participants gained insight into the role individuals and communities can play in reducing environmental impact and supporting cleaner energy solutions.

Building on this foundation, students took part in a hands-on workshop that transformed knowledge into practice. Using specialized educational kits, they explored key renewable energy technologies and their real-world applications, including:

• Solar and Wind Power: Learning how energy can be generated from natural renewable resources through practical experimentation.

• Energy Storage Systems: Exploring the importance of storing renewable energy efficiently to support future energy needs.

• Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology: Conducting electrolysis experiments to produce hydrogen and utilize it as a clean energy source for model applications.

A key feature of the experience was the H2GP Sprint program, an educational platform that introduces students to hydrogen technology through the design, assembly, and racing of hydrogen-powered model vehicles. The activity provided participants with an engaging opportunity to apply scientific concepts while developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Through initiatives such as this, ALSAYER Group continues to invest in the development of Kuwait’s youth, encouraging interest in science, technology, engineering, design, and innovation. Reflecting on the significance of the program, Eng.
