Kuwait Team ready to challenge their innovative skills at the World Robotic Contest in Dallas, USA

2024-2025 Kuwait National Robotic Competition (KNRC) is getting to an interesting level, and eight (8) competing teams from Kuwait are highly charged to show their expertise in the largest global robotics competition – VEX World Championship 2025, Dallas, USA. In this proud moment, ALSAYER Group has taken the opportunity to invite and honor 50 talented students qualified from the schools and university to attend this international level competition. The Department of Computer Science at the College of Science (Kuwait University) in strategic partnership with ALSAYER Group, and by collaborating Ministry of Education and the Youth Public Authority has announced the successful journey of qualified team to this world competition where 1800 teams from 40 countries to scale up their abilities for this highly skilled competition. Currently, a rise in team participation shows a wider acceptance of this innovation and excellence in science and technology by additional institutions, educators, and parents in Kuwait.

This year’s qualified team includes: Kuwait Technical College (KTECH), Salah Al-Din Al-Ayoubi High School, Faltech (Women Cultural Society), Kuwait International English School (KIES Middle and High School), The American Baccalaureate Middle School, Al Adailiya Elementary School-Girls, Al Ahmadi – Kuwait Juniors Club, who are undergoing intensive training and advisory sessions by the expert coaches from the KNRC and the Computer Science Department at educational institutions.

Nehad Al Hajj Ali , Group Manager of Excellence Department at ALSAYER Group,  highlighted that the “ALSAYER Group believes in investing in young minds. That’s why we are deeply committed to support innovation, robotics technology, and digital learning. We have seen through KNRC programs youngsters are continuously developing their potential and gaining experience, and time by time, they become deeply committed to inspiring others to pursue their passion for robotics, fostering a strong culture of mentorship and innovation. He continued, as long as students are passionate about robotics and eager to continue, ALSAYER is here to support and encourage them.”

Mona Al Salem, General Director of the Computers Learning at the Ministry of Education, expressed her profound satisfaction with the winners, educational institutes, and teachers because this success is not only a personal accomplishment, but also a sign of a promising future for Kuwait in the fields of science, technology, and innovation through great teamwork and dedication of many involved.

Noura Al-Jeri, Chairman of the KNRC informed, “The true goal of the program is to stretch students beyond the curriculum, expanding their knowledge and skills in computing, artificial intelligence, and smart designing. It is great to see we are succeeding this with the support of public & private partnerships in terms of funding, awareness, time, and encouragement has been invaluable in enabling the program to achieve its goals.”
