As part of ALSAYER Group’s mission to promote technological advancement and youth development, the Group has supported RayGo, an electrical engineering team from the College of Engineering and Petroleum of Kuwait University at the 49th Engineering Design Exhibition. This 2-day event was under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Sabeeh Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Acting Minister of Finance, and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments.
This was a culmination of the work conducted by student groups from different engineering departments, be it chemical, electrical, civil, and others. ALSAYER Group’s long-standing commitment to investing in the youth and their innovative ideas has always been at the forefront of our goals and values, ensuring that groundbreaking projects are shown in the best light. The RayGo team’s project is about a mobile solar energy system designed to provide sustainable power for moving and remote applications. It uses a motorized sliding solar array that expands to generate more energy while staying compact during vehicle movement. The system also includes automatic sun tracking and a self-cleaning feature to maintain high performance in outdoor conditions. The results of this device and system achieved stable operations, with a net energy of 2781.41 Wh, confirming that sufficient energy was generated to support all system components, even during solar tracking.
Nehad Haj Ali, Group Manager of Corporate Excellence at ALSAYER Group, said that engaging and supporting university students in their educational journey’s is important for us at ALSAYER Group. This allows us to examine the feasibility of projects and learn from the younger generations new and innovative ideas; something that we can possibly look to implement in the future.
ALSAYER Group will continue to sponsor more of these student-led projects that contribute significantly to the development of technology, renewable energy, and efficiency. We seek to maintain a strong relationship with the younger generations in Kuwait, supporting them and their aspirations for years to come.
