ALSAYER Group supports KNRC’s Competition Qualifies at the Scientific Center

The Kuwait National Robotics Competition hosted its qualifier rounds on Saturday at the Scientific Center, bringing together 40 teams from diverse age categories. Backed by ALSAYER Group as the strategic sponsor, the event highlighted the company’s dedication to nurturing youth potential and advancing hands-on education in science, technology, and innovation.

Launched in October, the 2025–2026 season marks the latest chapter of Kuwait’s largest robotics platform, designed to inspire creativity and excellence in STEM fields. Since its inception in 2023, the competition has grown into a national stage where students showcase their ability to design, construct, and program robots to address real-world challenges; an effort strongly aligned with ALSAYER Group’s vision of investing in future generations.

Dr. Haider Behbehani, Acting Dean of the College of Science at Kuwait University, noted that the qualifiers pave the way for student teams to advance to the championship finals in February. “These contests revealed remarkable levels of innovation, collaboration, and structured thinking,” Behbehani said, pointing to the VEX Robotics and Aerial Drones categories as clear demonstrations of students’ expanding skills in engineering and programming.

Eng. Nehad AlHaj Ali, Group Manager of the Corporate Excellence Department at ALSAYER Group noted that, “the competitive nature of this event truly highlighted the intelligent young minds of the future and their ability to collaborate, coordinate, design, and develop effective technological solutions in a highly pressurized environment.”

With the completion of the qualifiers, we now look forward to joint press conference, which will be held before the main event. This prestigious event will showcase the great support of ALSAYER Group and all of the other sponsors involved that have dedicated themselves to seeing everyone achieve success throughout this competition.
