ALSAYER Empowers NES Students to Lead in Renewable Energy

ALSAYER Group collaborated with the New English School (NES) to host an immersive educational session for students aged 12 to 14. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world environmental action, preparing secondary / high school students to become the next generation of sustainability leaders.

The session kicked off with a deep dive into the “big picture”—covering climate change, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Kuwait’s national vision for a greener future. Students explored how communities and individuals can actively reduce their carbon footprint through smarter energy choices.

The highlight of the event was a practical, hands-on workshop where students moved from theory to application. Using specialized kits, the students explored the entire renewable energy lifecycle:

  • Solar & Wind Energy: Practical experimentation with capturing energy from natural elements.
  • Energy Storage: Understanding how to securely store power using advanced technology.
  • Hydrogen Fuel Cells: Students engaged with professional-grade electrolysis to produce hydrogen and power their models.

The interactive portion focused on the H2GP Sprint. The Sprint program is specifically designed to introduce younger students to the fundamentals of hydrogen technology through building and racing specialized hydrogen-powered car models.

ALSAYER Group’s actions in participating with the students highlights their willingness to invest in the younger generations in Kuwait, especially, in design, development, engineering, and technology. As Group Manager of the Corporate Excellence Department, Eng. Nehad AlHaj Ali noted, “It is of the utmost importance that we invest in the students technological and creative interests as this can help them explore new skills and develop existing skills that will benefit our society in the near future.”
