ALSAYER Group proudly recognized and awarded prizes to the winners of the Horizon Educational Regional Race, hosted at ALSAYER Group’s KFTZ 1 Office on June 24, 2026. As a strategic partner of Horizon Educational, the Group has been instrumental in nurturing students’ skills in clean energy, hydrogen fuel cell technologies, engineering design, and teamwork.
Chairman of ALSAYER Group, Mr. Faisal Bader Al-Sayer described the event as a leading global initiative in clean energy and hydrogen technologies, offering students practical experiences that strengthen creativity, engineering thinking, teamwork, and problem‑solving. He added that the participation of teams from schools, Kuwait University, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training reflects a unified national effort to support young talent, and the results demonstrate the strong potential of Kuwaiti youth to excel in modern science and technology.
Dr. Noura Aljeri, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kuwait University noted that hosting the competition along with ALSAYER Group as the strategic sponsor highlights both entities role in fostering innovation and equipping youth with future‑ready scientific and technical skills.
The national qualifiers concluded with several teams earning the opportunity to represent Kuwait in the global H2 Grand Prix Pro Finals in Switzerland. The Sonic team from Al‑Sabahiya School secured first place among schools, Kuwait University claimed first place in the university category, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training team came second, and Maria Al‑Qibtiyya School finished third. Special awards were also presented: the Team Spirit Award went to Salman Al‑Farsi School and Al‑Waha School, the Innovation Award was given to Maria Al‑Qibtiyya School, the Marketing Award was awarded to Al‑Israa Secondary School for Girls, and the Outstanding Design Award was presented to Al‑Sharqiyah Secondary School for Girls.
By celebrating and rewarding these achievements, ALSAYER Group reaffirmed its dedication to supporting educational initiatives that prepare young people to lead in sustainability, engineering, and innovation.
