Reinforcing Commitment to Cycling Safety and Road Security

From November 2024 to May 2025, the “Let’s Ride Safe Kuwait” campaign has actively engaged cycling enthusiasts, road users, and the corporate sector in a collective effort to promote safety and well-being within Kuwait’s cycling community. ALSAYER Car Rental, in partnership with Kuwait Rides, PaperClip, Velo, and Ola Coffee, continues to champion the development of a vibrant cycling culture aimed at fostering sportsmanship and community health.

As part of this initiative, ALSAYER has generously provided two mid-segment Toyota SUVs to serve as safety vehicles for Kuwait Rides’ Saturday morning rides. These support vehicles play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of participants by minimizing the risks of accidents and road rage, underscoring the campaign’s commitment to safeguarding cyclists and encouraging responsible riding practices across Kuwait.

This community engagement is part of ALSAER’s Social Responsibility, where all partners are continuously involved to develop a habit of health and fitness, promote people’s endurance, safety awareness, and nurture a platform to engage and empower social skills. In the last six months, Kuwait Rides organized 25 rides every Saturday early morning to involve 2,000 riders covering 180,000 KM’s. Over a period, this campaign started to join free-style riders and beginners and encouraged more women riders to participate with their family and friends to improve the circle of community engagement for a common positive action. Cycling is a physical activity providing a full-body workout. It enhances cardiovascular endurance, helping to build stamina, as well as having a positive effect on mental health. Moreover, this created a positive community vibe and attracted more individuals and groups to join this campaign every week.

For ALSAYER Car Rental, the opportunity to provide two trained drivers dedicated to ensuring road safety and facilitating a confident riding experience for cyclists has been truly inspiring. The presence of two SUVs—specifically a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and a RAV4—has proven to be instrumental in maintaining safe distances and reinforcing safety guidelines for other road users. Their strategic road presence serves as a visible alert to drivers and pedestrians of the cycling groups, promoting safer passage and increased awareness.
